Boundaries are not a modern invention. They are woven into God's original design for human flourishing. Most people fall into one of two traps: becoming a doormat by saying yes out of fear or guilt, or building walls so high that real relationship becomes impossible. The Bible calls us to something different. We are responsible to one another, but not solely responsible for one another. A healthy no makes a meaningful yes possible. Getting your boundaries right is not just for your own sake. It is for the sake of everyone God has placed around you.
